Cookie Policy

We use one cookie. Here's everything you need to know about it.

Last updated: March 2025

01

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, remember your preferences, and provide basic analytics. Astolio's use of cookies is minimal and purposeful.

02

The only cookie we use

Astolio uses exactly one cookie: an authentication session cookie. This cookie is set when you sign in and is used to keep you authenticated between page visits. Without it, you would be signed out every time you navigate away. This cookie is strictly necessary for the service to function and cannot be disabled while using your dashboard.

03

What we do not use

We do not use advertising cookies. We do not use tracking cookies. We do not use third-party analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.). We do not share cookie data with any third parties. We do not use cookies to build profiles about you or your behaviour for any purpose beyond authentication.

04

Public menu pages

When a customer scans your restaurant's QR code and visits your public menu page, no cookies are set on their device. We log an anonymous scan event (time, device type) for your analytics, but this does not involve any cookies or persistent tracking.

05

Cookie details

Name: __session

Purpose: Authentication — keeps you signed in to your dashboard

Type: Session cookie (HTTP-only, Secure)

Duration: Expires when you sign out or the session ends

First or third party: First party (astolio.space only)

06

Managing cookies

You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings. Clearing the session cookie will sign you out of your dashboard. Because our single cookie is strictly necessary, there is no cookie consent banner — we don't need your permission for a cookie that exists solely to make the service work.

07

Changes

If we ever change our cookie usage — for example, if we add analytics or other features — we will update this policy and notify active users. We are committed to keeping our cookie footprint as small as possible.
